The Mobilization Officer of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Comrade Wisdom Oniekpar Ikuli, has celebrated his inauguration as the Director in charge of mobilization which took place at the Ijaw House in Yenagoa on the 2nd day of March 2014.

Giving thanks to God at his hometown in Ogbia LGA on the eve of theinauguration, Comrade Wisdom Ikuli noted that the day of the inauguration was a memorable day because it proves to the world that the Ijaw Nation remains one even if they have dispute within themselves.

He said that at a time, he almost gave up when he saw the challenges but was brought back into the race by his political godfather and church members who continually prayed for him.

He also said that he is very happy that all the contending crisis that engulfed the IYC has been resolved.
Comrade Wisdom also called on all Ijaws all over the country and beyond to remain united as they cannot do anything without unity.

He noted that 2015 is around the corner and that they are going to work towards the reelection of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.

He pointed to some of the achievement of the president in the railway sector, power, education and aviation sectors that Nigerian Airports are now of world standard adding that Jonathan would do more if reelected in 2015.

He lauded those who have continued to support him and those who also found it worthy to celebrate with him.

Comrade Wisdom has also written several books to encourage the Niger Deltans youths to move forward and also shun youth restiveness which he has been distributing for free till date; which both his community and well-wishers lauded him for, describing him as a man who is committed towards the development of the Ijaw Nation.

He is the author of Neo-Ijawism and the journey so far, General Sani Abacha and the contemporary Ijaw Nation, and also Youth Digest – practical solution to youth restiveness and social vices in the Niger Delta.
