Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) has once again expressed its commitment to Local Community Content and the Nigerian Content Development.

Speaking in Warri, Delta State at the official recognition of Jemtech Global Engineering Ltd for accomplishment of the demolition scope of Parker 74 Decommissioning Project, the Area Manager, Policy, Government and Public Affairs (PGPA), West of CNL, Mr Esimaje Brikinn, said the commitment of the Company to Local Community Content (LCC) and Nigerian Content Development was total.

He said; Chevron is committed to Local Community Content and Nigerian Content Development as part of the Company’s commitment to local capacity building in the nation’s oil and gas industry by empowering Nigerian service providers and suppliers through human and business capacity development, local patronage, work scope reservation and fostering of business partnership”.

According to him, CNL is pleased with the proficiency that  Jemtech displayed in the areas of onsite safety, site supervision, employee motivation, leadership site visits, logistics and Contractor interface management, adding that Mr Eric Jemejereye, MD/CEO of Jemtech Global Engineering Ltd, completed 66,195 man hours with no incidents.

He also disclosed that he developed detailed material catalogue which allowed for progress tracking and measurement, revealing further that he completed demolition scope 58 days ahead of committed schedule of 90 days.

Mr Brikinn while listing other admirable accomplishments in the demolition scope of the Parker 74 Decommissioning Project by Mr Jemejereye, posited that CNL values contractors that have the ability to take and deliver on high level technology jobs and appreciate expertise in local suppliers and Contractors that breed confidence.

“We are committed to safe work practices and demand same among all our contractors, including LCCs. As we present this award to Jemtech today, we want to encourage all our contractors to emulate the excellent performance of this Contractor so that we can weave our collective potentials into a tapestry of accord on LCC Development promotion by following operational excellence principles to deliver world class performance”, he said.

Responding after the official presentation of the award to him, Mr Jemejereye expressed gratitude to  Chevron for the opportunity given to show case himself.

He said; ” We are excited by this award today. We will not disappoint Chevron. We will always deliver.”
