The last may not have been heard about the purported Delta State PDP primaries for the October 25, 2014 local polls in the state.

Report reaching us from Ughelli South local government area said six chairmanship aspirants have given the State Deputy Governor, Professor Amos Utuama and other leaders of the party, 48 hours within which to address them.

It also learnt that the six chairmanship aspirants were not satisfied with the outcome of the purported PDP primaries in the area.

Arising from a meeting, the chairmanship aspirants said they needed explanation from the state Deputy Governor who is from the area and other PDP leaders in Ughelli South Local Government Area on the choice of Hon. Paul E. Etega as the chairmanship candidate.

They claimed that PDP leaders in Ughelli South council area had invited them for a meeting on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 for them (aspirants)to address the house, but claimed that they were never allowed to speak in the meeting as they were asked to go back home with a promise that they would be contacted.

They demanded for the reversal of the candidature of Hon. Etega, saying they never bought forms in other for some persons to sit in a bedroom and hand-pick a candidate for the chairmanship position.

According to them the process has rubbished democracy.

They further claimed that nobody got to them only for them to be told that Hon. Etega had been picked as the chairmanship candidate.
