The Bayelsa State Facebook Community, administered by the Chairman Civil Liberty Organisation Chief Alabo Nengi Games has formally inaugurated its Governor, Deputy governor, Commissioners, Special Advisers, House of Assembly members, Judiciary Council Members and LGA chairmen to pilot the affairs of the community for the next four years.

Addressing newsmen shortly after the inauguration, the BFC Governor, chief Esueya Adulphus said the inauguration Is to kickstart a “Not Too Young To Run” campaign following the decision of the National Assembly in passing a bill to that effect to include active participation of youths to run for positions of trust ranging from the Presidency, House of Senate, house Representative, governorship and houses of state assembly.

Facebook Governor Esueya said by Jenuary 2018, the Community will embark on a massive community to community awareness campaign acccross the lenght and breath of Bayelsa state  which will be centered on youths and women participation in contest for power and not just in voting for others to get into power.

Earlier in the event the Civil Liberty Organisation Boss had said he envisage a fight back, like corruption is fighting back, when political big wigs will begin to throw money bags arround the leadership of the community urging all members to be steadfast in all they do as the challenge starts now.

Chief Nengi acknowledged what this youths believes in saying it is time for young people to get inclusive in todays Nigeria leadership if Nigeria must be a better place.

The guess speaker of the occassion, Dr. Micheal Collins Ovuson-Ovu while making a paper presentation said disarticulated economy of consumption calculus as structured during the colonial and post colonial era remain the problem of Nigeria calling on youths to also engage in ownership of private ventures that will burst production and not just political involvement alone.

Dr. Ovu said BFC should look at how to influence the economy out of petro-doller to productivity through industrilisation and agriculture.

The chairman Nigeria Union of Journalist, Bayelsa atate chapter, comr. John Angese who spoke on the topic “Havesting The Social Media To Effect Positive Change in Society” said members of the BFC must act in acceptable manners as catalysts for change and the practice of social media must be in conformity with extent laws of the land with the intend to uphold morality in the society, similarly with the ethics of journalism practice.

The chief whip of the Bayelsa state House of Assembly (convensional) hon. Tonye Isenah in an astonished visit to the occassion took to the podium and said as youths a positive change of mindset should be tge focus of the BFC that Is clamoring for involvement of youths in contest into positions of trust.

Hon. Isenah lamented at situations whereby a youth will indicate interest through the social media to contest for an elective position and it will be a fellow youth that will respond to him as not having esperience to fit in, noting that esperience came by holding position for tge first time.

Special Adviser on media, to the BFC Governor mr. Danielucky Domotimi said the idea behind this comnunity Is to galvanise todays youths for leadership through the social media plateform governance that Is structured like the conventional way of governance for political participation in contesting for positions of trust.

Speaker of the BFC house of assembly mr. Podei Orus and chairperson Sagbama LGA mrs. Mercy Tobon Clement said sensiticing youths for leadership  position remain a concentration in this “Not Too Young To Run” campaign.
