Star actress, Ovo Gabriels has commence arrangements with other actors and actresses that includes Tony Akposheri (Zaki), Rachel Oniga, Nobert Young, Okonedo Sege Omokaro, Big Tony, Jude Orhorha, DannyBoy, Alex Idu, Dave Ogbeni, Doris Esieke, Eddy Akpojaro (Studio 7), Omawunmi Johnson, Eunice Dominic, Solomon, Stephen, Young Chuks, Sammy Sammy, Emma Passions, Patrick Ikpirima , Augustine Osadebey, among many others of Delta State origin to carry out a sensitization campaign to portray as well as sustain the good image of the state with a view to correct wrong impression about the State.

According to a statement signed by Ovo Gabriels made available to Reformer Online in Warri, the sensitization campaign would be in a walk/rally around the state with stop overs in major cities of the state.

The statement added that the walk/rally which is tagged “Delta Artistes Homecoming; OPERATION PROJECTING POSITIVE DELTA IMAGE” would take place on Saturday, August 25, 2018 is an avenue for entertainers to use their various platforms/talents to showcase the state to the outside world adding that it is the civic responsibilities of the artistes to help move the state to greater heights.

The statement added, “as Deltans, we are great people in every ramification. Let no one make us feel otherwise. We are beautifully and wonderfully crafted by God. We are hardworking, focused, fantastic and intelligent people. We are uniquely outstanding in all spheres. We are very hospitable, friendly, fun to be with and God fearing. Come feel our rhythm, Effurun, Warri, Oghara, Sapele,Ughelli, Agbor, Ozoro, Asaba, Abraka etc. Delta as a whole is a safe and a serene place to do any kind of business both locally and internationally. Let no one present us negatively to the world.”

She spoke further, “we are peace loving people, hospitable, accommodating people from different walks of life. Enough of all the negative image, jokes, talk, and tagging us in negative light. Speak positively, make positive jokes and present our positive image to the outside world. Every state has its own challenges; we should mind what we sell to the world about Delta. Delta is a blissful place to be. Davido, WizKid, Tiwa Savage and others were in Warri Mega Fiesta this Easter 2018 to perform live and they were treated to the hospitality of Delta people.”

Gabriels added: “It is a call to action, we call on all Deltans; churches, Non-Governmental Organizations(NGOs) Associations, individuals, young, old, men , women, Delta born actors, comedians, journalists, the media, musicians, filmmakers ,every showbiz person and every lover of Delta State to join us in this campaign to make Delta state move to her next level. It is our civic and social responsibility. Delta na our home, no matter where you go, home na home. Delta is our home.”

She called on all well meaning sons and daughters of the state to contribute their quota as she also solicits the support and cooperation of  every lover of Delta State to join her and Top Nollywood colleagues to take Delta State to greater heights.
