He said; “The primaries of our party for the Delta Central Senatorial bye-election have come and gone, but I am not unaware that some of our members are aggrieved as a result of the primaries. I am now all out to build bridge of unity because together we can do it better.”
The APC candidate added that; “Dear leader/elders of our great party, APC, as your candidate for the coming bye-election, I want to inform you that I have commenced the process for reconciling all aggrieved members towards the unity of the party.”
Olorogun Emerhor also said; “To this end, I have directed my local governments campaign coordinators to, in consultation with leaders, convene unity meeting in the coming week. I will continue to keep you informed of moves being made by me to resolve all issues to our advantage.”
Olorogun Emerhor had shortly after he was declared the winner of the primaries on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 said that; “We will do our best to accommodate everybody for the good of APC. We will continue to see how we can all work together to ensure that we harmonize all disputes. The election is coming very shortly; we must unite the house quickly and work towards winning the election. We know who we want to contest with. We know them and we must continue to work together in order to win this seat. It is a good thing that we have been able to conclude the primaries peacefully and we now have one candidate. This will provide basis for unity of all members of the party and this is time for all of us to work together under one platform. Opposition is not within but outside.”
