People of Uvwie Ward 2 in Uvwie Local Government Area have been called
upon to make the best choice of choosing Mr. Victor Akaighe, a PDP councillorship aspirant ahead of others who are equally good with a view to get good representation from him as he is offering himself to serve the people selflessly.

Speaking during a visit to Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Ward 2 Executives in Effurun to solicit their support for his aspiration, Mr. Akaighe said that his aspiration is a call to serve his people and humanity adding that generations yet unborn would feel the impact of his developmental projects and services that he would give his people if they would give him their mandate.

Mr. Akaighe then called on his people to give him the opportunity of fulfilling his long time dream of moving the area to the next level with democracy dividends that would not go with time but the ones that would have long lasting impact on the people and generations yet unborn no matter how small it may be, adding, “this is why I am offering myself to serve my people selflessly, I am  the best candidate for the job from among the others who are equally good, send me on this political errand, I promise not to betray the confidence reposed in me. If given the mandate, I will use my position to attract projects and services that would not only be beneficial to us now in
this generation but to children yet unborn.”

While expressing his appreciation to the Ward Exco, he disclosed that he is already fulfilling some of the promises he made when he declared his intent to contest for the councillorship position, adding, “please help spread the good news that my word is a bond, if I make any promise, by the grace of God I strive and go out of my way to ensure that I fulfill such a promise. I want to use this opportunity to thank Ward 2 executives for the support they have given to me so far. You can see that some of the promises I made to you I have started fulfilling them. I want to ask all of you to spread the good news to all the people in this Ward. I have come to seek the support of the executive and the entire people of the Ward.”

The councillorship aspirant then commended his fellow aspirants for the way and manner they have conducted themselves so far, noting that the Ward has the highest number of aspirants that are equally good in Uvwie saying but since the people deserves someone that is vibrant and the best, he is the man that is fit for the position and can do it if given the mandate, adding, “I want to use this opportunity to commend all the aspirants who have shown interest so far to contest. Uvwie Ward 2 parades the highest number of aspirants that are good in Uvwie, with this I believe our Ward in the nearest future, is going to be a force to be reckoned with in Uvwie politics. All the aspirants are good and I want us to choose the best out of all the good ones. I have come to ask you to give the cap to who it fits. We need somebody who
is vibrant, who can speak for the people and I am that person, give it to me.”

While receiving Mr. Akaighe and his entourage, Mr. Austin Ogaga, Chairman of the Ward advised him to go back to the drawing board and do his homework, promising that he was going to support him all the way.

Mr. Ogaga added, “go to the drawing board and do your homework and get your supporters behind you. The primaries are likely going to be option A4 where your supporters would queue behind you. I promise that
the election is going to be free and fair. All I will tell you is that
you should relate closely with your people and leaders and consult
with them because they are the ones to queue behind you in election
time.”
