The Delta State Government has again been commended for the rapid development and reforms in the education sector.

The Secretary of Udu Education Authority, Mr. Johnbull Asun, gave this commendation while speaking on some issues affecting the education sector in the state.

The Secretary said the efforts of the Governor Uduaghan administration in the education sector, particularly the construction and renovation of public schools in the state would soon start yielding positive results.

Mr. Asun, however, appealed to the state government to extend the renovation and construction projects to more public schools in the state, particularly in Udu area where many schools lack basic infrastructures.

On the activities of the education secretaries in the state, Mr. Asun urged the state government to provide them with vehicles and administrative offices to enable them ensure effective supervision and monitoring of schools.

He also appealed to the State Government to complete the Udu Council Education authority building project at Otor-Udu which has been abandoned since 2011.

While disclosing that the Udu Local Education Authority block as a temporary building, Mr. Asun also enjoined the government to construct the only road leading to the permanent site.

He said the State Cash Treasury Office in Udu Council Area is located on the same road with the office of the local education authority, just as he added that the grading of the road will enable them work more effectively.
