Deacon Shola Mese

President and Founder of Shola Mese Foundation, Deacon Shola Mese, has said that he is a fulfilled man after the success of his 21 Days Mass Feeding Program which took place from January 5th to January 26th 2023.

Mese who spoke to journalist after the end of the free Mass Feeding Programme which was held for 21 Days at the Shola Mese Foundation, Izakpa Street, Warri, noted that it was by the grace of God that he was able to complete the programme.

He said initially he was not sure he was going to finish the 21 Days Mass Feeding Programme considering the fact that the project was a massive one which demanded time and huge resources.

He however, appealed to well meaning Nigerians to emulate what he has done so that a lot of people who don’t have food in their home will have something to eat.

Deacon Mese, who is also a security expert and chairman of Focus Guard Security, said he was concerned about how hunger can be reduced in the society.

“I feel fulfilled after the end the 21 Days Mass Feeding Programme because when I wanted to start it I was asking how would I be able to do this. The reason why I was asking that question was because this year’s own was massive unlike the other ones that we were doing in previous years.

“I believe in selfless service to humanity. As God will have it I was privileged to be part of this 21 Days Fasting Programme of Our Church. So I decided to key into the 21 Days Feeding Program.

“I told myself that in this year’s fasting, a lot of people who will be taking part in the fasting programme do not have food at home to eat after the fasting at the end of the day.

“Each day, we fed a minimum of one thousand people and if you calculate that amount for 21 Days you will see that we have fed over 21 thousand people excluding children.

“Last year we did about five hundred people per day and at the end of the day we were able to feed about seven thousand people. But this year we have about 21 thousand people by our calculation,” he said.

Deacon Mese stressed that what inspired him to embark on the programme war because of his passion to serve humanity, adding that those who benefited from the programs cut across religious and ethnic backgrounds.

Some of the beneficiaries of the programme who spoke to our Correspondent, commended Deacon Shola Mese for the programme, praying that God should bless him for helping the society.
