2023: GROUP BERATES OTUARO FOR ALLEGEDLY NURSING AMBITION

Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, Deputy Governor of Delta State has been called upon to work hard to make his people in particular and Deltans at large feel his impact in government rather than chasing gubernatorial ambition shadows of 2023.
This call was made by the 3 I’ s Movement International in a statement signed by Mr. Goddey Money, it’s Coordinator in Warri, the group that is made up of members from Ijaws, Itsekiris and Isokos of Delta South Senatorial District said that it is appropriate for Barr. Otuaro to ensure that he adequately utilize the mandate given to him now for the overall benefit of his people of the Delta South Senatorial District rather than angling for a higher mandate he may not get come 2023.
According to Mr. Money, “the impact of the mandate given to him (Deputy Governor, Kingsley Otuaro) is yet to be felt by his people. Therefore we call on him to stop chasing shadows of 2023 and make the people feel his impact of the mandate already given to him.”
While noting that Deacon Otuaro has an inalienable right as a citizen of Nigeria to contest for any elective position, the group alleged that his Ijaw people in particular and Delta South Senatorial District have not felt his impact in governance.
The group added, “as a group, we acknowledge his fundamental and inalienable right to aspire for higher political office in the State and beyond, we observe with dismay that in his present position as the Deputy Governor, he has not brought any meaningful development to Ijaw Land let a lone Delta South.”
The group further added, “for instance, because of this, many projects located in Ijaw territories by this present Government of Delta State and all inherited projects from past government has not been given budgetary support, these includes the Ayakoromo Bridge Project and many others except those ones in Gbaranmatu Kingdom of Warri South West Local Government Area.”
The group then called on the Deputy Governor to take full advantage of the mandate given to him by Deltans to serve them well with all fairness, adding, ” this is a clarion call on Barr. Otuaro to diligently serve his people and make sure they get full benefits of democracy dividends that is due them.”
The group spoke further, “to all my fellow comrades, ln as much as we support the #EndSars protest, our position should be geared towards restructuring which we know is a panacea to all the problems we face today, we will continue to consult with our people and advise on the best and people oriented candidates to support in elections come 2023 and beyond”.
