Sir Tony Obuh

Sir Tony Obuh, an illustrious son of Agbor, Delta North Senatorial District in Delta State, is the rising political star of the moment in the 2015 Gubernatorial race.

His name came to public glare through the political sagacity of the Delta United political pressure group conveyed by a political mogul and major player in Delta PDP Electioneering strategy, Chief Ayiri Emami (The Political AKULAGBA).

In less than two months of its political activities, DELTA UNITED 4 TONY OBUH is getting bigger by the day, spreading like wild fire into the 25 local government areas of the state.

The group currently parades key members of the Delta State House of Assembly led by the House Leader, Hon. Monday Igbuya. The credibility of the group is further consolidated by the presence of all PDP candidates for the October 25 LGA elections led by Chief (Mrs) Faith Oniemor Majemite.

The support for Tony Obuh has been interestingly unprecedented as thousands of party faithful, supporters and diffrent political groups from the three senatorial districts gathered in Asaba on Tusday September 2, for yet another general meeting of the group hosted by Hon. Ofobruku at the open field of the Delta State House of Assembly Quarters.

The Convener, Chief Ayiri Emami, told the huge crowd that the choice of Tony Obuh to govern the State from May 29, was a well reasoned political calculation intended to facilitate greater socio-economic development of the State.

He noted that there is the absolute need for a man of unquestionable character and superb pedigree to complete on-going projects of the Gov. Uduaghan’s administration as well as surpass the successes of this adminstration.

Also speaking, the superlative AMAZON of Delta Politics, Chief (Mrs) Faith Oniemor Majemite, observed that sometimes in politics certain strategic choice has to be made for the good of all especially at a time like this in the political history of Delta in which our people are yearning for rapid development, job creation, transparency, accountability and good governance. She said, Sir Tony Obuh, is a tested and trusted technocrat, a top class civil servant in the state and well integrated into the scheme of things and day-to-day running of governmental affairs.

DTHA House Leader, Hon Monday Igbuya, corroborated the character and qualities of Chief Emami and Mrs Majemite by saying that “Tony Obuh’s credentials and wealth of experience in public service is solid enough for Deltans to give him the necessary support to take over the affairs of Delta State from Gov. Emmaunuel Uduaghan in 2015.

Leader Igbuyah then urged members of the group to work extremely hard for PDP’s victory in the forthcoming general elections.

The next meeting of the group has been scheduled to hold in Isoko at a date, time and venue to be announced later.
