Why I declared for Warri South Chairmanship position – Tidi

As Delta State sets to conduct its local government election in January 2018 one of the Chairmanship aspirant for Warri South Local Government Area, Mr Michael Tidi has come out to tell the people why he is declaring for the number one seat in the council area.

Tidi who spoke at his official declaration to the admiration of thousands of PDP supporters who graced the occasion recently said he is in the race because he wants to return the council area to its original pride as one of the most peaceful council areas in the state.

He said Warri, which consisted of different tribes, used to be the most prosperous city in the state despite the multiplicity of various groups of people who come from all parts of the country.

Tidi noted that his mission for declaring for the number one seat in the council area was to serve humanity in the best possible way, adding that he has gathered a lot of experiences since in delved into politics.

Tidi who was unanimously adopted as the consensus candidate of the PDP during his declaration at the PDP Secretariat in Warri South Council Area, stressed the need for party leaders and members to support his ambition in the quest to move Warri South Local Government forward.

He promised to introduce new ideas in the task of ensuring selfless service, especially in terms of people-oriented projects praising the outgoing Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Hon. Matthew Edema for performing excellently well and making Warri South one of the best in the state.

He also promised to consolidate on the developmental strides of the Edema administration appealing to Deltans to continue supporting the Okowa administration for the prudently management of the scarce resources of state in pite the recession.

Warri South PDP Chairman, Mr. Johnson Agbeyegbe who spoke during the occasion tasked PDP members to be ready for the competition ahead and thanked other Chairmanship aspirants for their peaceful disposition, just as he described Tidis visit to the party secretariat as a carnival.

Three contestants for the chairmanship position, Hon Griftson Omatsuli, Mr. Augustine Oruye and Mr. Amah Agbajoh said Mr. Tidis emergence is a product of rancor free consensus. They all promised to work for the success of Tidi in the coming election.

Prominent among those who graced the occasion were the member representing Warri South constituency 1, in the Delta state House of Assembly Hon Shola Ogbemi Daibo, the Political Adviser to the Delta state Governor, Delta South, Hon Omimi Esquire, the incumbent chairman of the Warri South Council Area, Mr Mofe Edema, Olivia Agbajo and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development, Comrade Hope George.

Others are; Hon. Augustine Tete, Dr. Augustine Uroye, Hon. Griftson Omatsuli, Mr. Andrew Megbele, Mrs. Gbubemi Ikolo, Amb. Austin Oniyesan, Mr. Besidone Eyengho, Mr. Ama Agbajor and Mr. Mode Akoma amongst others.

Members of the House Committee and various political groups rooting for Mr. Tidi and other contestants contesting for the chairmanship position where also visible present at the occasion.
