Members of the Warri South Legislative Arm, staffers and executive members of Warri South Local Government Area, on Wednesday organized a surprise birthday party for the Chairman of the council, Dr Michael Tidi, as he clocks 42 years today Thursday 15 September 2022.

The celebration which took place at chambers of the Warri South Legislative Arm witnessed eminent individuals from all works of life from within and and outside the local government area.

Mrs Minnie Igbrude, who spoke on behalf of the staffers of Warri South council described Tidi as an “incredible, reliable, dependable, visionary, effective, intelligent, wise, peaceful and humble man” whose administrative prowess cannot be equalled.

She said Tidi has been able to satisfy the workers of the council by taking care of their welfare and needs, stressing that “anyone who is able to satisfy his workers is able to satisfy the world.'”

Mrs Igbrude urged the Warri South council chairman not allow anyone take away his courage, patience, independence, liberty, and freedom from him, saying that these attributes will take him far in life.

“That aspect of you that says that I will not let any of my staff to die, I will take care of them, don’t let that aspect go away from you. For this alone, I want the workers to give him a standing ovation.

“Anyone who is able to satisfy his workers is able to satisfy the world. You see the life we are living is not about the number of cars you park in your garage, it’s not about the number of houses you have, but it is about the number of people you make happy in life. That is your legacy, that is what will be recorded for you. And that you are doing very well. Don’t let anyone take it from you. And your foresight, don’t let anyone take it from you,” Mrs Igbrude said.

“I want to say you are incredible, reliable, dependable, visionary, effective, intelligent, wise, peaceful, humble, and your administrative prowess cannot be equalled by any. Above all, you are a father to your children and you are a husband to your wife. And I am very proud to say you are a husband to your wife because I know what you do to make sure your family is happy.

“Any man that keeps his family happy, I envy that man and I respect that man, because what is making me to stand tall today was that YD, my husband that cannot be equalled by any man, made me what I am today and I am very proud to say I am Mrs Young Igbrude. That is what you are making your family to be. The way Igbrude made sure the family is well taken care of, that is one thing they cannot take away from you. I am very proud of you because of that,” Mrs Igbrude added.

Barr. Ada Val Arenyeka, Vice Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Delta State, in his goodwill message, said he has always admired the leadership style of Dr Tidi, admonishing the younger generation to emulate him.

“To some of us, you are a son we wish to have. I have always watched your trend, your personality, your sense of purpose, your leadership style and the way you put all these together, is worthy of emulation. I am very happy I am here. I want to wish you a very happy birthday from the bottom of my heart, from me, my family, my kindred, my followers and Delta State PDP in general,” Arenyeka said.

On his part, Mr Johnson Agbeyegbe, PDP Chairman of Warri South Local Government, said Dr Tidi is worthy to be celebrated because he is focused, committed, and prepared at all time to take up new responsibilities.

“That been said I want to say congratulations my chairman and I want to enjoin the younger generation to continue to emulate personalities like him,” Agbeyegbe said.

Vice Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Chief (Mrs) Ann Divine Iniovosa, described Dr Tidi as a “brother who has been there for me at all times.”

Hon. Sylvester Ijabor, Leader of the Warri Legislative Arm, said Dr Tidi has always set the pace for others to follow in the council area.

“My wish for you is happy many more returns to you I’m good health, in wealth, in more degrees. Warri South Local Government council should be known for its intellectual prowess,” Hon Ijabor said.

Mr Victor Agbatiniyero, Hon. Ramsey Onoyake, Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Area, Hon Taye Duke, Chairman of Warri South West Local Government Area, Hon Isaac Onoriode Esiovwa, chairman of Okpe Local Government Area, and other political leaders who spoke during the occasion, all commended the sterling qualities of Dr Michael Tidi.

The Warri South Local Government Boss, appreciated all those that came to celebrate him with the surprised birthday party, praying God to meet everyone of them at every point of their needs.

“Thanks to the aforementioned for the planning and thoughts that went into creating a beautiful memory for me. I appreciate you all so much. I just want to say that I’ve never felt more cherished and loved than I did couple of hours back, and that’s all thanks to you,” Tidi said.
