The Warri Council Chairman gave this advice today while playing host to Ada and her crew who paid him a courtesy call at his Office in
Warri.

Hon. Edema urged Ada to go back to the church where she started
singing and use the voice that God has given her to sing praises to
Jehovah, adding that she should not allow anybody to discourage her
from singing gospel music.

“I will like you to go back to the church. I will like to take you up
on that because you said earlier that when you were in the church
there was a lot of cooperation. This is what happens when you are in
the body of Christ. The body of Christ is not divided. I want you to
hold on to God because when you hold on to God every other thing will fall in place and God’s name will be glorified.”

He said those who are saying that gospel music does not pay are
missing the mark, citing examples of Frank Edwards who has done
extremely well as a gospel artiste.

While thanking Ada and her crew for the visit, the Warri South Council Boss promised to support Ada and her dream, adding that having come from the same ward with Ada, he is going to make sure that he does everything possible to ensure that she succeeds in her dream.

He said; “I want to specially thank you for this visit. I have long
being expecting you to visit me. You have done this council and the
state proud and we are very proud of you. Having said that, I will
like you to go back to the church where you are coming from. Though a lot of people are saying that those who are doing gospel music do not make it, but I will tell you that it is only God that can make you grow from where you are now to greater height.”

He urged Ada not to be discourage by whatever challenges she was
passing through now, saying that her latest achievement in the music industry is a stepping stone to greater height.

“Do not be discouraged, do not be deterred by comments or obstacles and challenges because these a stepping stones that will take you to greater height. And when you get there do not forget your family that has been with you through out. Success has a way of making you to forget those who helped you to climb up,” he said.
Hon. Edema also said that as an ambassador of the local government and the state as a whole, Miss Ada must be ready to show excellent
character at all times, noting that it was only her character that
will sell her to the outside world and make her famous in the nearest
future.

Earlier, Miss Ada thanked the Warri South Council boss for agreeing to meet with her and her crew members thanking all Deltans for the great support they supported her throughout the programme.

She also appealed to the Council boss to use his office to support her
in whatever capacity he can, adding that she needs the support of
all Deltans to enable her achieve her dreams of becoming a superstar
in the nearest future.

She said; “Last year’s Project Fame West Africa, Season 8 was really
an eye opener for me and with the support I got from Warri South,
Delta State and the whole Nigeria was very amazing. I want to use this opportunity to thank everybody that has made me came out as the third runner-up. It was really an amazing experience for me and I would want to promise Nigerians that I will not let them down. As somebody that is from Warri South Local Government Area, I and my family deemed it fit that we come and pay you this visit to show our appreciation for what you are doing for the local council. I started singing from the church and like you know once you leave the church and go out there it is a different ball game entirely. I love music very well and I will want to build my career to the next level.”
