Hon Monday C. O. P Iteheri, Councilor representing Owhelogbo ward 2 at the legislative arm of Isoko North Local Government Council has provided free extra moral classes for all Senior Secondary School students preparing for WAEC, NECO and JAMB examinations in Owhelogbo.

Hon. Monday Iteheri explained that, the free lessons were part of the fulfillment of the promises he made during his campaign while maintaining that “education is the best gift one can give to any child. When a child is well groomed academically you are building a just and egalitarian society wherein they will one day contribute their quota to the growth of the nation. And moreover the success of the students in their examination at this stage is paramount to becoming professionals in whatever field of study of choice.”

He further disclosed that Hon. Iteheri Empowerment Programme (HIEP) was launched for the interest of the youths and the less privileged in the society, adding that after the free lessons, phase two of the programme will be to financially assist interested persons eager to learn a trade or enroll for skill acquisition training.

Coordinators of the classes Mr. Morrison Iluesure and Julius Ugbehen described the gesture as a special package for the students as there were over ten qualified teachers on ground to teach the various subjects. Ugbehen and Iluesure charged the students to be up and doing in order to make good use of the opportunity provided them by the grassroot lawmaker so as to enable them come out in flying colours in the forthcoming examination.

Some students like Atagana Omamuzo, Ogagarojor Silas, the Senior Prefect of Iluelogbo Grammar School, Ojuma Oghenero from Africa United Grammar School and Blessing Eloho Afimoni a Jamb student who spoke to our reporter expressed delight over the humanitarian service of Hon Monday Iteheri praying God to bless him more.
