The recent demise of Prf. Amos Agbe Utuama (SAN), former Deputy Governor of Delta State under Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has been described as a monumental loss to Delta State Government and the people at large.
This was disclosed by Bishop Abos Willie, Chairman, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Delta in a statement made available to to the National Reformer in Warri, he said that Prof. Utuama was a selfless leader who contributed his quota to the overall growth and development of the State.
According to Bishop Willie, “on behalf of my family and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Delta State Chapter condole with the Delta State Government, the Utuama Family and the people of Otu-Jeremi of Ughelli South Local Government Area over the demise of Prof. Amos A. Utuama at seventy-seven years. The exit of the former Deputy Governor of Delta State is a monumental loss to the Delta State Government and Deltans at large”
Bishop Willie said that Prof. Utuama was a leader with a different and selfless personality who, while in service as Deputy Governor of Delta State in the Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan led administration of 2007 to 2015 contributed to the growth and development of the State.
The Delta State Chairman of PFN added, “Prof. Utuama’s achievements as a legal icon were outstanding and his proficiency in administration no doubt helped to position Delta State on the path of progress, peace and sustainable development. He would be missed for his exemplary life style, invaluable footprints in Nigeria’s law profession, education and good governance.”
He spoke further, “it is my prayer that God grants his soul eternal rest and give the entire Utuama Family, the people of Otu-Jeremi and Delta State Government the fortitude to bear the great loss.”
