House of Assembly hopeful to represent Uvwie State Constituency on the platform of the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Engr. Matthew O. Tsekiri,  has assured the people of Uvwie  of adequate representation and robust politicking come 2015 in the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) if given the mandate to represent the area.

Engr. Tsekiri, disclosed this during a constituency visit to the PDP Elders/Leaders Forum, Uvwie chapter in Effurun, he said that if given the mandate, he would give selfless service to the people and humanity adding that he would leave his footprints in the sands of time.

Engr. Tsekiri, who has his educational stint in Nigeria and the United Kingdom (UK) also told his large audience who listened with rapt attention that he was in the political race to take Uvwie to the next level in the scheme of things in the next dispensation.

While acknowledging that some other persons have gone to the State House Assembly to represent Uvwie, Engr. Tsekiri said, “those that have gone there have done their best but I believe their best wasn’t good enough for the Uvwie people, hence my vision and mission statement is good and practical representation of the people of my constituency.”

He also said that as the political scenario unfolds itself, a blue print for the Uvwie people was also in the making.

The Elect/Elect graduate cum politician further stated that when elected into the DTHA, he would not spend his recess time globetrotting but to brief his constituency on the journey so far.

Responding on behalf of the enlarged members of the PDP Elders/Leaders Forum, Chief Portwright Akaighe advised Engr. Tsekiri to as a matter of necessity to relate closely with his immediate Constituency if given the mandate to represent the area.

Chief Akaighe frowned at past situations where and when politicians would only come to meet them (Elders/Leaders) at the time of their (Politicians) needs and abandoned them like banana peels on assumption of office.

He therefore charged Engr. Tsekiri to change the tide if given the mandate.

Highlight of the constituency visit was a prayer of realizing his aspiration by High Chief Ogan Ugavah, the Usiavwe of Alegbo.
