Dr Michael Tidi, Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, has congratulated the Chairman, Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu, on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

Tidi, in congratulatory message by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Francis Sadhere, described Comrade Ikeogwu as a dogged unionist who has fought for the development of Journalism across the state.

He said Ikeogwu, who was the Chairman, NUJ, Warri Correspondent Chapel before he became the Delta State Council Chairman, rose through the rank by hard work and his trust in God.

The Warri South council boss stated that Ikeogwu’s sincere love and passion for his work is what sets him apart from so many of his colleagues.

“On behalf my family and the good people of Warri South Local Government Area, I wish you, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu, a very wonderful Happy birthday.

“Today, we honor both your wonderful life and your extraordinary contributions towards raising the standards of journalism. You are certainly one of the best gifts God gave the world of journalism.

“Not too many journalists have the ability to relentlessly uphold the canons of journalism in the course of performing their duties like you do. You are truly a remarkable journalist.

“On this occasion of your birthday, I wish you nothing but the best in life. Thanks for all the things you have done and keep doing in order to ensure freedom and justice prevail in this great nation of ours. Happy birthday.
