Lucky Dube was ‘resurrected’ in the oil rich city of Warri, Friday, October 18, 2013 as he was celebrated in a big way by the popular Supreme Car Wash.

Our correspondent reports that Supreme Car Wash is located on Kilometre 2, Refinery Road, Warri – Delta State, on Friday October 18, 2013 treated customers to good songs of Lucky Dube who was killed six years ago.

CEO of Supreme Car Wash, Mr. Efe Otu said that “We decided to celebrate the late Lucky Dube today in a big way because we are still missing him six years after his needless and senseless killing by gunmen. Today, we are gathered to celebrate the best musician ever produced by Africa.”

He told his customers also that “We are going to make the celebration of Lucky Dube Day (LDD) an annual thing here at Supreme Car Wash. Lucky Dube meant so much for us and when he was killed exactly six years ago (October 18, 2007), we all felt it and that is why we decided that we should all come together here today to listen to his music, eat and drink as well as distribute some materials on Lucky Dube to all our customers and his fans. Lucky Dube may be dead and gone forever, but you cannot kill his music.”

Our Correspondent reports that Lucky Dube’s music blared from heavy speakers and he was also watched on massive screen at the event that started 10.00am and lasted till about 10.00 p.m.
