Atamu Social Club of Nigeria Donates Gift Items to Orphanage Home

In a bid to impart positively on the lives of the lessa privilege in the society, Atamu Social Club of Nigeria over the weekend presents cash, food items to Mrs Ilogbo Rose Orphanage and motherless babies’ home in Ughelli, Delta State.
Presenting the gift items to the Matron of the Orphanage, the Chairman of the Club, Prince Henry Akposhewe said that, the donations are part of the activites to mark the three years annual celebration of the Club and the Club contribution towards the imparting positively on the motherless babies who have no one to cater for them.
In his words: “We the entire members of the Atamu Social Club of Nigeria deem it fit to contribute to the well being of these less privilege in the society and the only way we can do this is by donating food and cash to them. This is an act that we will continue to do in every three years that we normally celebrate together.”
While receiving the gifts, the matron of the home, Mrs Rose Ilogbo thanked members of Atamu Social Club for their kind gestures, praying God Almighty to bless and protect them in their endeavors.
She also urged other notable Deltans, Social Clubs, political groups, corporate bodies and the State government to emulate Atamu Social Club, saying “these children we are taking care of here have no one to take care of them. And only one hand cannot do it alone, we need help from political groups, social Clubs, corporate bodies, and the state government to enable us gives these children sound and quality education.” Mrs Ilogbo said.
Meanwhile members of the Atamu Social Club of Nigeria had earlier on presents cash donations and thanksgtiving offering to God Almighty for His numerous blessings upon their lives at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Ighwrekpokpor-Ughelli.
Other members of the Club who spoke at the thanksgiving reception are Samuel Oshodi, Vice Chairman, Ufuoma Orere, Secretary, Emmanuel Arhovwire, Treasurer, and Hon. Johnbull Okoro member. They all posited that, the major aims of the Club is to promote the Urhobo and Isoko culture, imparting positively on the lives of the less privilege in the society and ensuring sanity in the homes of all the members of the Club.
