Sagbama council Boss pays medical bills of attacked corps’ member

The Caretaker Chairman, Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Hon, Michael Magbisa, has paid the medical bills and provided cash to corps member Mr. julius Lundsi, from Taraba State, who was attacked by three armed robbers at the corpers lodge at Angalabiri Community in Sagbama Local Government Area.
The chairman also appealed to youths of the area to eschew violence, shun cultism and other vices that are inimical to the society, noting that they ought to embrace peace and involve themselves in the various empowerment programes of the state government.
Magbisa, stressed that the restoration government under the leadership of Governor Dickson has provided platforms for various skills acquisition and empowerment programmes which will change their minds, advised the youths to key in to some of these programmes and make life meaningful for themselves.
The chairman who appreciated the governor of the State, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson, for providing the best health facilities and an enabling environment at the Niger Delta teaching hospital Okolobiri, thanked the doctors for responding fast to saving the life of the attacked corps member who is recuperating fast.
He also thanked the state commissioner of Police Don Awunah for rejuvenating the police force in Bayelsa State and praised him for his professionalism in crime fighting strategies which is fast yielding results and reducing the crime upsurge in the state.
He also promised to replace the stolen laptop and phones of the victim, while pleading with the police to ensure that the fleering robber Mr. Prince Ikerewu Aliase Skelewu is arrested and prosecuted.
Speaking earlier, Dr. Clifford Timiebi, commended the caretaker chairman for his generosity and show of love to the victim, assuring him of the management’s commitment to ensure that patients in the hospital get the best treatment and care.
Mr. Lundsi who appears to be in a stable condition after medical attention, narrated how the three robbers, Mr. Mosan Moses Youdougha 22 yrs old, a
native of Angalabiri, Godswill Vincent 21 Yrs old and Prince Ikerewu alias Skelewu 19yrs, came to the Angalabiri Corpers lodge on that fateful Sunday around 3:00am and robbed his neighbours another corper form Osun State Mr.
Adeyefa Ifeoluwa of his belongings, which include a laptop, 2 phones and 10,000 cash.
He thanked the caretaker chairman of the cash gift and also paying huis
medical bills, stressing that it would go a long way to cover his upkeeps,
while describing the Chairman as a man with the heart of an angel.
Hon Magbisa, who was accompanied by his principal officers, comrade Patrick Singabele Treasurer of the council and Mr. Ogba Kemenanaebi-Sa treasury and
accounts to the chairman, visited the attached victim at the Niger-Delta teaching hospital Okolobiri where he is currently receiving treatment.
