Two suspected armed robbers who robbed a customer of five hundred thousand naira at Memories Super Stores in Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta, have been arrested by the management of the shopping centre and handed over to the police four days after the robbery incident.

The management of Memories Super Stores said that vicious attempts by hoodlums to soil their good name has been marred, just as he assured their customers of their safety.

While narrating the story to journalists, the manager, Mr. Otomewor, said the robbers had trailed one of their customers from the bank to the shopping centre, breaking into his car which was parked at the premises and stealing the sum of five hundred thousand naira but were apprehended four days later at Jesse in Ethiope West Local Government Area after a hot chase.

He said one of the thieves was identified through the close circuit surveillance cameras planted within and outside the shopping center adding that they were are able to identify the vehicle and copied the plate number which the thieves used for the robbery. He added that the management and other security personnel in Sapele did not rest on their oars as they immediately swung into action looking out for the vehicle.

According to him, Luck however ran out on the robbers whose vehicle was spotted by the manager who immediately alerted his colleagues and other security agencies that went after them in a hot chase.

Two of the robbers were apprehended at Jesse and handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
