… As His Campaign Train Storms Omosuomo, Ofrukama, Okuama Communities

As the 2019 general elections draw near, member representing Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Solomon Ahwinahwi has promised his constituents that if reelected, he will attract more dividends of democracy far beyond their expectations.

Ahwinahwi made this promise when his campaign train stormed Omosuomo Inland, Omosuomo waterside, Ofrukama and Okuama, all riverine communities in Ewu, Ughelli South Council Area of Delta State, on Monday.

At Omosuomo community, Ahwinahwi promised to revamp the community health centre to a world class health centre if the people reelect him back to the Green Chamber.

On the only access road leading to the community, the amiable lawmaker promised to influence the current contractor handling the road project to return to site, adding that if that arrangement fails, he will input the road project into the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) budget.

At Omosuomo Inland, Hon Ahwinahwi, seeking reelection on the platform of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, was received with fanfare as they sang his praises when his campaign train hit the waterside.

On ground to receive the lawmaker was the President General of the community, Mr John Oboweiya, who promised to mobilize support for Ahwinahwi

Oboweiya commended Ahwinahwi for visiting the community, adding that since 1999, most politicians have not deemed it fit to visit the community.

He appealed to Chief Ahwinahwi to intervene in the ongoing construction of the only accessible road to the community which has been abandoned by the contractor due to lack of funds.

The President General said, “We also want you to empower our women and youths. We are all your brothers and sisters in this community. We all know you and love you.”

At Omosuomo Waterside, Hon Ahwinahwi promised to fix the bore hole water facility which has been abandoned for a long time, adding that he will also buy a cassava mill machine for their women.

The people of Omosuomo Waterside community who were were elated to see their Representative vowed to deliver all the wards for Ahwinahwi.

Ahwinahwi said, “I have heard all you said and I will try and do something about them. The empowerment you are talked of, I am going to bring it to you. If you vote me back to the House, I will become a Ranking Member and will be able to attract better projects to you, my people, especially when I become a committee chairman in the House.”

At both Ofrukama and Okuama communities, Ahwinahwi was also received by a large number of the people who vowed to support and vote for him in the February 16 general election.
