At the Old People’s Home in Warri, the scribe of the organization, Mid-West region.111, Warri Delta State, Chief Christopher Nwajiogoli  said they decided to celebrate with the less privileged people in the society because they believed that all fingers were not equal.

He noted the it was the dream of everybody to grow old one day and they wanted to be recognized with the old people in the society so they too can grow old like them.

The scribe also said that since this is the season of celebration they have decided to share love with the old people. He urged Nigerians to always look out for welfare of the aged people in the society.

At GBI Orphanage Home, Chief Nwajiogoli who was impressed with the way the inmates of the orphanage home were been cared for, promised that the organization will continue to identify with the home.

While charging Nigerians to always lend a helping hand to children in different  orphanage homes across the country, Chief Nwajiogoli said they were at the orphanage home to let the world know that the organization was not a secret cult.

He said the Reformed Ogboni Fraternity is an organization that preaches love, peace and togetherness.

The scribe added that the Fraternity was established and registered in the country since 1914 by a black man, reassuring the public that it was not a secret society.

“I am very impressed with the way this children are well taken care of here. I think apart from what we are going to do here today, we are still going to make sure that more investment will be done here, if not from the organization, it will be from individuals here. We are here to show the world that we should show love to ourselves. We preach peace and we  pursue love. This organization is not a secret society. If you are an ex-convict you cannot join us. We are an organization with open hands. We do not go for membership drive. If you want to join us you can do that voluntarily. This organization was established by Arch-Deacon Thomas Ogundeyi in 1914,” He said.

He said the Fraternity is a non-religious and non-political organization aimed at preaching love peace and unity in the society.

He also revealed that the organization is the only organization that the federal government audits it’s account every year, saying “this cannot be a secret organization if government is auditing our account every year.”

Responding the owner of GBI orphanage home and children center, Reverend Godwin Amaliri thanked members of organization for their kind gesture. He promised to make judicious use of the items donated to the home.

He said: “I really appreciate you for identifying with us. I thank God for using you to bless us. It is a good  thing that you recognized that we are all fighting one cause. And it is because of the love that have for these children that some of us have decided to dedicate our lives to them.”

Items donated to the orphanage home include, one bag of rice, one bag of garri, 20 tubers of yams, one roll of tissue paper and an unspecified amount of money. The Old People’s Home in Warri also got the same items too.
