All Progressives Congress, APC Chairmen in Ijaw dominated Local Government Councils of Bomadi, Burutu and Patani as well as Ijaw leaders of APC in Warri South-West and Warri North Local Government Areas recently at Udu in Udu Local Government area, unanimously endorsed Pastor Power Ziakede Aghinighan as their new leader.

They added that the former NDDC boss has been mandated to speak on behalf of the Delta Ijaw APC members at the State and National levels.

Our  Correspondent reports that prominent APC members who gave their nod for Pastor PZ Aghinighan to lead Ijaws of Delta South in the All Progressives Congress, APC include APC Chairman Bomadi Local Government Area, Hon. Paul Amabiri Azorbo, APC Chairman Patani Local Government Area, Joe Ekiyor, APC Chairman Warri North, Hon. French Ukuto, APC Chairman Burutu Local Government Area, Owei Prince,  APC Chieftain, Chief Augustine Seibi from Burutu, Barr. Ferdinand Asiuwhu and Perede Shedrack Owotorufa, Assistant Secretary of APC Burutu Local Government Area.

Speaking shortly after the endorsement of PZ Aghinighan, Chairman of APC Bomadi Local Government Area, Hon. Amabiri Paul Azorbo explained that they resolved to work with PZ Aghinighan because “of our believe that with his wealth of experience, he will be able to protect and project the interest of Ijaws at any APC caucus meetings”.

Responding, Pastor Power Ziakede Aghinighan lauded the five Delta Ijaw Local Government Areas for their resolution to make him their national leader and appealed to everyone to support him, even as he assured that he will carry everybody along in the task of moving Delta State APC forward.
