All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor (OON) has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for using the card readers in yesterday’s elections, calling on INEC to perfect the system before the governorship election in April 11, 2015.
Emerhor who voted at about 2:45PM in his hometown, Evwreni Ward 8, Unit 5, Ughelli North Local Government area of Delta State, said he has confidence in the electoral commission, and that INEC has performed well so far.
The APC candidate noted that with the use of the card readers, Nigerians will no longer be afraid that their votes will not count in future elections, adding the ballot box system will soon phase out.
Earlier the APC government candidate was at the polling station for accreditation at about 9:20am.
Emerhor said he is optimistic the APC Presidential candidate, General Mohammadu Buhari, will come out victorious in the polls, saying that the whole country is clamoring for change of government in the country, and that the election will determine the future of Nigeria.
While calling on all APC supporters to conduct themselves peacefully, Emerhor said that Nigerians needed a peaceful transition of power from the oppressive government of the day to the progressives.
