THE remains of one of the founding members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Warri Correspondent Chapel, Mr. Godwin B. Oruma would be laid to rest in his compound at Igbudu -Agbarha, Warri on Saturday, February 7, 2015.
According to a statement made available to National Reformer Newspaper by the Oruma Family, the body would leave Warri Central Hospital Mortuary in a motorcade to Christ Healing Temple of God Deliverance Ministry, Uti, Off PTI Road, Effurun for funeral service at 10am to be followed immediately by interment and reception for guests, adding, “there would be outing church service on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Christ Healing  Temple of God  Deliverance Ministry at No. 17-19 Eruese Gbefe Street, Uti, Off PTI Road, Effurun.”

Late Oruma

Oruma, a veteran journalist, versatile and seasoned worked meritoriously in Nigeria Television Authority(NTA) where he retired but not tired, he later joined the Independent Television((ITV), Benin where he worked for a long time before he succumbs to the cold hands of death.

Members of the Warri Correspondents Chapel of the NUJ would pay the family condolences during the funeral ceremony. He would be remembered for his worthy service to humanity.
Com. Michael Ikeogwu, Chairman, Warri Correspondents Chapel of the NUJ described late Mr. Oruma as an astute journalist who contributed immensely to the development of journalism in the state.
