No One has monopoly of Violence. In our quest for environmental justice we should not be malicious and treacherous. Gbaramatu Ijaw and Itsekiri are Brothers! STOP the hate!

As a true Niger Deltan and a son of the creeks, I will respond to my brother Comr Ebikeme, President, Gbaramatu Youth Congress (GYC), by saying be careful what you wish for in our quest for justice!

In your statements and videos you seem to be living in a fools paradise thinking 2021 is the same as 1999. My brother wake up to reality what’s good for the goose is good for Gardner. Threats of Shutting down Chevron Nigeria Limited and chasing all Itsekiris from their homelands where we the Itsekiris and Ijaws of Gbaramatu have lived for years would only lead to another round of ethnic crises where both sides had suffered casualties that we have not yetl overcome.

The DSS and Nigerian Police should be on high alert to investigate such statements capable of causing tension and breaking the existing peace in the creeks.

My brother wake up to reality. We have better fight as Niger Deltans in the Nigerian space than been used as a mole for self aggrandizement.
How much statements have you issued regarding the Oil spills caused by illegal bunkering activities around Batan, Egwa and Odidi flow stations? Or are they not even worst than this. How have you protested for the stoppage of the illegal bunkering activisties that has been destroying our Creeks?

But here you a quick to make statements capable of causing interethnic crises! I doubt if you grew up or participated in the inter tribal crises and government suppression that rocked this region between the late 90s and early 2000. Don’t you ever in your wildest dreams underestimate the Itsekiris or think the Itsekiris are Sleeping, hence my advice to you and your cohorts is to retrace your steps before this gets out of hand.

Our Environment is unique as we are all intertwined. If a Joint Iinvestihatiom Venture (JIV) or compensation should be done in communities where there i is a spill, then it should be all encompassing, and not the selfish and self centered statements you have issued.

My brothers a stitch in time saves nine. We, the Itsekiris from Kantu Community know our history and understand our roots, force annexation and intimidation will not change the fact that we are partly ijaws and Itsekiris.

Hence, it’s important for people like us who share both roots to sue for peaceful coexistence of The Itsekiris and Gbaramatu Ijaws living along the Warri River and in an instance of a JIV or compensation, it should be all encompassing.
