Demi-Ejegi emerges APC candidate for Warri South Constituency 1 bye election

The All Progressive Congress, APC, aspirant for the Warri South Constituency 1, Delta State House of Assembly, Engineer Sunday Demi- Ejegi has emerged the candidate of the party for the upcoming bye election taken to fill the vacant position.
Demi-Ejegi defeated three other aspirants who contested the primary with him. Out of the 147 deligates from the six wards that voted in the primary Demi-Ejegi scored 80 votes to defeat his closest rivals Stanley Emiko, 27 votes, Prince Roland Ashamgbe, 20 votes and Gemine Omagbemi, 20 votes.
Ejegi who spoke to journalist after his victory commended all the deligates for choosing him and for conducting the elections in a peaceful manner.
He called on all members of the party to come out enmass to support him in the next election, saying that he will never disappoint them if he wins the election.
He thanked all his opponent for losing gallantly and for congratulating him, adding that together they will move the party forward.
He said, “This primary is conducted by the party and now that a candidate has emerges, everybody will queue behind the candidate and work as one.
Speaking on parallel election purportedly held at Obodo, Ejegi said, “That election is a kangaroo election. The APC national does not recognise that election. The authentic election held here in Carvegina primary school, Warri is the authentic one.”
Prince Roland Ashangbe and Gemine Omagbemi who contested the primary with Demi-Ejegi have all congratulated Ejegi, even as they tasked him to work with everyone.
