…..Says He is Wicked, an Ingrate

Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State and Vice Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has polarized the Delta State PDP over his stance of supporting a governorship candidate against the one supported by Chief James Onanefe IBORI, former Governor of the state to the political advantage of the opposition party, the APC.
Chief (Dr.)Christopher Obiuwevbi aka Ominimini, Campaign Director General, All Progressives Congress(APC), Delta Central Senatorial District disclosed this while inaugurating a political pressure group, Delta Emancipation Movement for Agege (DEMA-23) in Effurun, he accused Dr. Okowa of being an ingrate and wicked in his actions towards his predecessors, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan and Chief James Ibori.
The APC chieftain also accused the Governor of receiving Billions of Naira monthly with nothing on ground to show for it whilst plunging the state into huge debts by borrowing.
According to him, “Dr. Okowa has failed woefully, he has underdeveloped Delta State. Every four weeks, Billions of Naira comes into Delta State as allocation from Abuja. But these billions are not seen anywhere. And to add insult to that, Okowa is borrowing billions of Naira.”
Dr. Obiuwevbi added, “the Governor of Delta State is wicked, Dr. Okowa is an ingrate. Okowa won’t have been known politically in Delta State today if not for Chief Ibori. Chief Ibori appointed him Commissioner twice, Dr. Uduaghan also made him Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG). But today Okowa says Uduaghan is not a good man, he says Ibori is not a good man, is he the only good man in the state?”
“A man who made you a Commissioner is not a good man, you are recruiting people to fight Ibori. Okowa is an ingrate for recruiting people to be fighting Ibori who made him what he is today. Okowa worked for his daughter to emerge as PDP candidate of his State Constituency for the House of Assembly, yet the man who made him Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Uduaghan, he allegedly worked against for going to the House of Assembly.”
He said that it is no longer news that he foisted Rt. Hon. Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly on the party as Governorship candidate against Olorogun David Edevbie, supported by the Chief Ibori camp thus polarizing the party to our advantage in the APC.
In his welcome address, Chief Do-Good O. Efe-Nogo, Director General, Delta Emancipation Movement for Agege (DEMA-23) said that the movement is a think tank and grass root support group that cuts across age, sex, ethnic group and political affiliation to mobilize for positive change and transformation of Delta State through His Excellency, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi and APC.
According to Chief EFE-Nogo Represented by Mr. Foster M. Akpore, “we consider Agege/Osanebi as the most qualified to emancipate Deltans from the shackles of underdevelopment foisted on the State by PDP’s over two decades of degenerative and rudderless leadership.”
He added, “as we all know, since the return to civilian rule in 1999, the fortunes of our dear State has plummeted. When states like Lagos, Bornu, Ebonyi, Rivers, Kaduna, Cross River, Edo, Akwa Ibom, and others are making tremendous progress in terms of education, infrastructure, health care, social service, Delta is lagging behind.”
High point of the ceremony was the official inauguration of the movement.
