As  a part of their humanitarian services to their host communities, the Nigerian Navy Officers Wives Association “NOWA” Delta Zones, has donated basic food items as well a dispensed medical services to all the internally displaced persons (IDP’s) at Uhogua community in Ovia North East local government area of Edo State.

The wife of the out-gone flag officer of the logistics command Oghara Mrs. Obinna Ibe-Enwo, NOWA Coordinator Delta Zones, who led wives of the officers from the Naval logistics command Oghara, Nigeria Navy ship (NNS Delta) Naval Engineering College Sapele including the Naval Central Hospital Effurun-Warri on behalf of their National NOWA president Mrs. Theresa Ibas, commended the persons at the camp including their coordinators for the peaceful atmosphere and good conduct.

She commended the federal government for doing all it takes to put an end to insurgency in the country as well as taking good care of all the internally displaced persons in the country, assuring that NOWA will from time to time put smiles on their faces.

Mrs. Ibe-Enwo told the people at the camp that their National president including all other Naval Officers wives are praying for them, assuring them “that the situation will soon change  for the better but first they should have faith in God almighty who alone has kept them safe even at the moment”.

She advised them to always be of good behavior at all time, reminding them that the Navy and Nigerians in particular love them, just as she prayed to God to protect and keep them safe at all time.

The coordinator of the camp Pastor Solomon A. Folorungho, minister-in-charge, International Christian Centre For Missions, commended the Nigerian Naval Officers wives Delta Zones for the gesture, praying that God will continue to keep them safe for more good works for humanity.

Pastor Folorungho said “I am happy for this visit, and it is encouraging, it is good that they identify with the (IDP’s), we appreciate the Navy for the visit and the blessings they brought to the people here”.

Some of the internally displaced persons, who spoke to Journalists during the visit, Master Emmanuel Felemo, Umaru Ahmed and Haruna Aguba all from Borno State, appreciated and pray to the Navy Officers wives for the food items including medical treatment given to each of them.

They appealed to the federal government and other spirited individuals to always remember that people like them are at the moment in such a place.

Some principal officers from all the Naval formations in Delta State, medical personnel including their information officers led by Lt. H.G Ahmed and the wife of the Commander Commodor Ibrahim Dewu (NNS Delta) was also present during the visit at the camp.
