Green Party of Nigeria (GPN ) Gubernatorial Candidate, Ahmed Mohammed Zagi, told the District Head that the party is focused on the future and ensuring Kaduna State and Nigerian youth have a brighter future.
Zagi expressed this when he led other candidates of the party from the state on a visit to the palace of the District Head of Kawo in Kaduna metropolis on Friday December 14, 2018.
He explained that as it is currently, there ius no beacon of hope for youth in the country, but with GPN in charge, things will change for the better.
He said that they embarked on the visit because of the genuine respect they have for traditional institutions, adding that they have resolved to visit all the traditional rulers in the state.
The guber candidate said that their ambition is not a do or die affair, noting that leadership comes from God.
He prayed for a peaceful polls, while saying if God gives them victory at the polls, they wouldbbe grateful, but if the lose, they will also accept it in good faith.
He prayed to God for more wisdom and health for the District Head.
In his response, the District Head of Kawo,  Jibrin Mohammed Magaji Dan Makwayan Zazzau III said that GPN Gubernatorial candidate was the first to visit his office among all the guber candidates in the state.
He said that presently, what most politicians do is not politics, but a way of earning their daily bread.
The District Head said that politics requires sacrifice, commitment and hard work, but frowned at recent happenings, where politicians keep jumping ship from one party to the other.
“Politics should be based on truth and adherence to manifesto. If someone decides to decamp, people should not follow him. In Nigeria today, there is no honest politics, but an avenue for sustenance.
“They should know that if someone leaves one party and wants to go to another, he should not be trusted by the new party,” he said.
The District Head advised the GPN guber candidate and others to always be patient and prayerful.
“Whatever we desire in life, we ask God and he can do it. You have to be patient, he might answer you instantly, or answer you but it would not be immediate,” he advised..
Speaking further, he informed that when candidates visit, they pray for them that God should look into them and if they would be of benefit to the society, grant them victory. But if they would be a problem, prevent them from getting victory.
Other GPN candidates on the visit were Southern Kaduna Senatorial Candidate, Philibus Ladan and Honourable Sani Abdulkadir, House of Representatives candidate for Igabii LGA.
