The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Sunday confirmed 437 more Coronavirus cases, thus bringing the total infections in the country to 46,577.

The new infections were reported from 16 states and the FCT.

The disease control agency also announced that three COVID-19 related deaths occurred on the same day, bringing the country’s over all death toll to 945.

In an update on its websites, the agency said a total of 33,186 have been discharged.

Lagos recorded the highest number of new infections with 107 cases followed by the FCT and Plateau with 91 and 81 cases respectively.

Other states that reported new infections include – Kaduna (32), Ogun (30), Kwara (24), Ebonyi (19), Ekiti (17), Oyo (8), Borno (6), Edo (6), Kano (4), Nasarawa (3), Osun (3), Taraba (3), Gombe (2) and Bauchi (1).
