Pastor Williams Foluronsho Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Wednesday, said that his mission in Delta was to preach positive changes in families just as he said that politicians should do what is right so that there would be progress and prosperity for all Nigerians and Deltans.
Pastor Kumuyi, who was on a courtesy visit to Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, at the Government House, also congratulated the Governor on winning the 2015 general elections, describing Okowa as the choice of God and the people of Delta State.
He said the time and tenure of Okowa in government house would produce peace, security and prosperity for the people, adding that the past experience of the governor in government would help galvanise his prosperity agenda for the state.
Pastor Kumuyi who was accompanied by other senior Pastors of the ministry from Rivers, Edo, Bayelsa and Delta States, said when people receive the gospel of Christ, it makes them to be good citizens as it would help impact on the economy of the state.
However, he called on Deltans to support the government as the people’s support would help achieve the programmes of government for the people of the state.
Governor Okowa, who was flanked by Delta State Governor, Barrister Kingsley Otuaro, Head of Service, Patrick Origho,  Secretary to the State Government, Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas and others, expressed satisfaction over the presence of the pastor in the state.
Okowa said though he is not a member of Deeper Life Bible Church, he had admiration for the ministry of Kumuyi.
“I see you as a good preacher of the gospel. You have been very consistent in your preaching. We are happy to have you in Delta. We thank you to be in Delta State”, Okowa said.
He said a state cannot be built when it lacked the presence of God, noting that many nations that put God behind them had not made necessary progress.
“The more we teach the gospel and embraced it, the better for our nation. I listened to your ministry on Tuesday and I know that a lot of people have much to gain from you. Your visit to Delta which you said will run for a week will definitely impact on the lives of our people. Remember our people, remember us in your prayers.
“As a nation we need prayers. We need God’s grace. Before the election, people were worried but we thank God how the election went. I thank God for the way Nigeria is progressing, we are happy that God granted us a peaceful transition”, Okowa said.
He called on Kumuyi to give counsel to those in public office, saying spiritual leaders are needed to assist political leaders in running affairs of states.
While calling on Deltans to show understanding and patience, he said his government would, through proper planning, employ lean state resources to meet the needs of the people of the state.
