Governor Uduaghan who made this statement Tuesday, when he commissioned the Abigborodu/Aruwun Road Project in Warri North Local Government Area of the state refuted the allegation by some persons that he has not carried out any meaningful development for his community.

While recounting the difficulties his administration encountered in constructing the roads and bridge as well as in building a water project in the riverine community, the governor added that the money invested in constructing the roads linking to Abigborodu was enough to construct several kilometers of roads in other parts of the state.

“I don’t owe anybody any apology. I have done the best I can with the available resources because if you look at the challenges of constructing these roads, you will appreciate what I am saying. These roads have been built on top of water.”

He called on members of the community to continue to pray for more development enjoining them to make good use of the opportunity presented to them and become good ambassadors of the community.

“Whatever will happen to Abigborodu hereafter depends on Abigborodu people. And we must accept as a community that our community must develop.”

Before now, Abigborodu and Aruwun communities in Warri North and Sapele Local Government Areas respectively used only waterways for transportation until the Governor Uduaghan administration took the initiative of developing roads leading to both communities through Levant Construction Company.
