Olorogun David Edevbie, Chef of Staff, Government House, Asaba has been called upon to contest for the 2023 Governorship election in Delta State to put his wealth of experience garnered over the years to bear on the governance of the state with a view to move the state to greater heights.

This call was made by a socio-political pressure group, Edevbie Grassroot Political Group in a statement signed by Hon . Fred Ofogba and Comr. Dennis Onnogho, chairman and secretary respectively of the group at the end of their meeting in Warri, the group said that Olorogun Edevbie possesses the qualities and capacity to govern Delta State aright after Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa adding that he has the enduring value as well as strong passion for excellence to move the state to greater heights if given the opportunity to govern.

The group disclosed that Olorogun Edevbie has proven himself capable in all the offices he has occupied displaying good interpersonal relationship as well as good organizational skills to deliver on schedule adding that he always leaves his footprints of good policies in the sands of time in all the offices he has held ranging from Principal Secretary to Late President Musa Yar’Adua to being a two time Commissioner for Finance and now Chief of Staff, Government House.

According to the group, “we are calling on Olorogun David Edevbie, Chief of Staff Government House to contest for the governorship position in Delta State come 2023 because he has the requisite experience, qualities and capabilities to steer the ship of governance in the state from where the incumbent, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa would stop in 2023.”

The group added, “Deltans and the state needs a man like Olorogun Edevbie who is not self centered, ready to accommodate others as well as listen to the people’s plight to take over the reins of leadership from Dr. Okowa come 2023 with a view to move Delta State to enviable heights.”

The group further disclosed that even the state Governor, Dr. Okowa has attested to the fact that Olorogun Edevbie possesses innate administrative qualities for good governance when he said that, “Olorogun Edevbie David has continued to blaze the trail by providing and offering leadership at various levels of governance with prudence, excellence and strong passion for development.”

The group then called on Deltans and resident non Deltans to support Olorogun Edevbie when he finally makes up his mind to contest for the governorship position in Delta State come 2023.
