A political group under the aegis of Delta Grassroots Movement has called for peace and level playing ground for all political parties in the forthcoming October 25th, 2014 Local Government Area Elections.

The group made this call during her 7th general meeting which cut across executives, coordinators of wards and 25 Local Government Area of Delta State held at Grand Hotel Asaba, recently.

President of the group, Comrade Kingsley Ubiebi and the Secretary, Comrade Amechi Ijeh Emmanuel also called on all party candidates to see the opportunity as a clarion call to serve their various communities and grassroots in general by putting them first before their own personal interest.

The group also tasked the various caretaker committee Chairmen across the 25 Local Government Areas to ensure smooth delivery of the Federal Government initiated Sure-p Programme centered on empowerment and job creation to both the rural and urban communities of the State.

They also promised to mobilize 1 million registered voters across the 3,625 wards in Delta State for any credible candidate who is ready to put the grassroots first and take the state to the Promised Land.
