The Bayelsa State Police Command wishes to inform the general public,that the Command has put in place a robust security strategy to ensure a peaceful conduct of the forthcoming general elections.

The Command has beefed up security with increased vehicular and foot patrols, as well as intensive surveillance in the nooks and crannies of the State. The Police Command in collaboration with other security agencies have energized to create an enabling environment for the election exercise.

All political parties and their contestants should desist from any act capable of disrupting the election process,they are advised to abide by the peace accord they had earlier signed and comply with the regulations guiding the election process. The Police will do everything within the ambit of the law to prosecute all electoral offenders.

Movements of person, motor vehicles and tricycles will be restricted from the hours of 8am to 5pm, on Saturday 28th March, 2015, only those on essential duties will be allowed to move. The electorates are advised to come out and exercise their franchise by casting their votes for any candidate of their choice.
