THE Chairman of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, Mr. Orishua Kpogho has officially opened tender bid for 2013 projects as approved by the House Of Assembly.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Kpogho reiterated the Commission’s quest to deliver the dividend of democracy to oil producing communities in the state.

The executive chairman further disclosed that the tender boxes which contained award of contracts to the various oil producing communities is to ensure that there is compliance of due process on the part of the commission, noting that the objective  of the board is to make the process  of the award   of contracts this year  better than  that of last year.
According  to him, the commission has delivered completed projects awarded last year, stressing that he is happy with the level of development brought to the communities as a result of the projects executed and added that the commission is one of the few government agencies that has delivered. As there is prompt payment of contractors.
Some of the contractors who spoke to newsmen applauded the leadership of the  Kpogho led board, noting that the board has achieved so much within a short time in office in the area of contract award and execution of projects. They commended the transparency of the bidding process and urged stakeholders to expect better projects from them.
The occasion was attended by board members , Secretary  to the commission, Sir Austin Oghoro  and top management staff  of the commission.
