THE Commissioner representing the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality in the Delta State Oil Producing Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro Tuesday commissioned projects worth millions of naira in Ijaw Communities.

Otuaro who was represented by his Special Adviser, Mr. Emomotimi Guwor, advised the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the projects.

He urged the beneficiaries who were in their hundreds to maintain the existing peace in their different communities.

“We are giving this Tricycle to the physically challenged person to improve on their living standards. For us, we want to teach them how to fish, we don’t want to give them fish.

“We give these speed boats to our traditional rulers to ease their transportations to meeting an for them to continue to foster and maintain the existing peace in their domains.”

Chief (Col.) Satchi Etoromi (Rtd.) who received two Yamaha, two hundred Engines from DESOPADEC, commended the Board for the gesture saying that,” it will make the palace more efficient as administration in the palace will be better served”

A physically challenged, Comrade Febugha Tamarauemomo while thanking DESOPADEC said, “I will use the keke for my good and that of my community.”

He prayed God to grant the DESOPADEC Commissioner, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro his heart desires. HRM. Pere Charles Ayemi Botu, the Paramount Ruler of Seimbiri Kingdom thanked DESOPADEC for the kind gesture and promised his kingdom’s continued support to the commission.

Pere Botu who was represented by his son, Prince Spencer Botu thanked the commissioner representing the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality praising him for achieving a rare feat since assumption of office.

Some of the items commissioned and handed over included 19 tricycles for physically challenged persons drawn from five local government areas,science equipment for schools in Burutu Local Government area, medical equipment for Naiforgbene community in Warri South-west LGA, Science Equipment for Kpakiama Secondary School.
