Insecurity in Isoko North: Egbabor warns youths to desist from criminal acts

Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor has bemoaned the rising rate of insecurity in Ozoro, the headquarters and other parts of the local government area.
Hon. Egbabor who was responding to newsmen on the level of insecurity in the local government especially Ozoro, warned youths in the local government to desist from criminal acts and other vices capable of bringing them before the law.
The council boss, advised youths not to make themselves as willing tools to be used for any criminal tendencies by some useless criminals in the area.
Hon. Egbabor urged those that have been recruited into cult groups to renounce their membership forthwith while those expelled from the Delta State polytechnic Ozoro are strongly advised to leave the town in their own interest.
The Chairman said part of the measures to curb the growing insecurity in the area, there will be enforcement of the restriction of Okada from 7pm and warned all Okada riders to cooperate as anyone caught flouting the directive will be dealt with according to the law.
“I advice the good people of Isoko North Local Government to be security conscious and report all suspicious movements to security agents.
“Those who have recruited youths to use them for criminal activities will be dealt with. As a council, we will not allow anyone to take laws into their own hands in this local government.
“We are working closely with all security agencies including the vigilantes to ensure that Isoko North returns to that peaceful place as it used to be.
“The council is ready to partner with responsible individuals and corporate bodies to ensure that there is peace in Isoko North.”
The Chairman advised those who are not prepared to embrace peace to on their own travel out of the local government because there will be no hiding place for them within the local government as he pleads to deliver his campaign promises of peace and security in the area.
