I feel highly elated today that I have picked the ticket of our great party. This is not about my fight, but the fight for the future of the Urhobo nation and Delta as a state. The birth of APC was timely to provide alternative to our people. The party will provide a platform for people of Delta Central. Our people have not been well accommodated in the ruling party; they are being treated as second class citizens.

Olorogun Emrhor added that; “With this ticket that I have picked today, we are going to fight for the upliftement of our people. This APC ticket is going to be very interesting, it will provide platform that can allow progressives in Delta Central to achieve their potentials.”

According to him also; “It is a good thing that we have been able to conclude the primaries peacefully and we now have one candidate. This will provide basis for unity of all members of the party and this is time for all of us to work together under one platform. Opposition is not within but outside.”

“Two aspirants wanted to have this candidature but as you know only one person can have it. Although the circumstances under which the other aspirant decided not to participate is not the best, but that is the decision he has to make. We will do our best to accommodate everybody. We believe he is a true party man and for the good of APC, we will continue to see how we can all work together to ensure that we harmonize all disputes. The election is coming very shortly in October 5th, we must unite the house quickly and work towards winning the election. We know who we want to contest with. We know them and we must continue to work together in order to win this seat. Finally let me thank the national officers, the chairman of the primary committee and other officers who are here today for their sacrifice and others for spending their time and diligence in conducting this peaceful primary,” he added.
