On his part, Barr. Alex Iden from Delta South wondered why Delta state has been cut off from the largess coming from the Presidency. He noted that the reason why the state exco were working the way they were working was because they knew that they do  not have any legal right to call for a meeting as the exco has been dissolved by a competent court of law.

Delta APC leader Dr. (Mrs.) Veronica Ogbuagu while speaking on behalf of Barr. Patrick Ideh, blamed some of the party leaders for the woes of the party in the state saying they have refused to talk when they were supposed to talk.

She called for the restructuring of the party leadership, saying the party needs vibrant and selfless leaders who could bring everybody together and move the party to greater heights.

She said, “I think this meeting is a welcome development because we need structure, we need focus and direction in APC Delta state. We did not do well in the last guber elections or the national election. So I think at this point we need to have a direction and we need to know where we are going knowing where we are coming from.”
