As the 2023 election campaigns gradually comes to an end, the Wife of the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and Delta State People’s Democratic Party Governorship candidate, Mrs Tobore Oborevwori, on Monday visited the Warri Main Market in continuation of her campaign tour of markets across the state.

Chairperson of the Warri South Local Government Area, Mrs Juliet Tidi and other PDP women leaders in Warri South Council were on ground to welcome Mrs Oborevwori and her entourage to the market.

Mrs Oborevwori, who addressed the market women who came from over ten markets in Warri South, said the only party that can rescue Nigeria from the terrible situation it finds itself, is the PDP.

She therefore, appealed to the market women to go out in their numbers and vote for all the candidate of the PDP come Saturday 25 February and Saturday 11 March. 2023.

She said the only way for the women to express their anger for the suffering causes by the ruling All Progressives Congress, was to cast their votes for all the candidates of PDP both at the National and State levels.

Mrs Tobore who quoted copiously from the Bible says, “I believe my husband will rescue the state from the mess APC has put us in. So I want to appeal to you, the market women to vote for PDP.

“Saturday election is going to victory for PDP because the people have suffered for too long.

“I and my husband are from the street. We have stayed in one room before God elevated us to where we are today. So I know your pains. Those who are angry before now should go home reconsider their decision.

Chairman of the Warri South Local Government Area, Dr Michael Tidi, on his part, said “the only people that can correct the problem we find ourselves today is PDP.”

Tidi said PDP is the only party on the country that respects both the young and old, stressing that the party have him the platform to rise to the position he is today.

“The People that can remove us from this problem that we find ourselves today is the PDP. So just go to the polling booth and thumb print PDP during Saturday election.

“If you elect Atiku and Okowa as the President and Vice President of this country, and Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as the Governor of Delta State and others, this Saturday and on the 11 match, then my job will be easier at the local government level,” Tidi said.

Also, wife of the Warri South Council Chairman, Mrs Juliet Tidi, while also appealing to the market women to vote for PDP during the elections, assured Mrs Tobore that her mission to the market will be successful.

The women leaders who also spoke during the occasion include; Mrs Augustine Oroye, Princess Rita Esquire, Mrs Mary Diden, Mrs Tina Otumara, Mrs Gbubemi Kpenosen- Ikolo, Hon Shola Daibo, and Princess Rita Esquire.

They all appealed to the market women to vote for all the candidates of the People’s Democratic Party on Saturday 25 February, and 11 March 2023.

High point of the visit was the sharing of food items and other house hold properties to the market women.
