Delta 2015: Emerhor To Enhance Roles Of Traditional Rulers, Restore Power Supply

Delta State All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor has vowed to improve the economy of the State through proper utilization of state funds,  adding that he will concentrate on development of the local government areas of the state by injecting additional funds to their allocations.

Speaking at a campaign rally on Wednesday  at Issele-Uku, Anoicha North Local Government Area of the state, the APC guber candidate lambasted the ruling party for squandering state funds and enriching themselves while the economy of the state continue to suffer. He stressed that if voted into power he will ensure that state funds are used to develop the state to the benefit of the people.

Emerhor said effective collaboration with international development and multilateral institution as agent for economic growth on capital-intensive projects financing will create stronger economy for the state.

He noted that the misrrule of PDP in Nigeria has made the people to seek for an alternative government that will have the interest of the people at heart. He added that the political tide sweeping all over the country is swinging towards the direction of APC, urging all Deltans to vote for all APC candidates in the state.

Olorogun Emerhor noted that the people of Issele-Uku have been cut off from the national grid, promising that his government will return electricity to the people of Issele-Uku if voted into power. He tasked the people of Delta State to embrace the change that is sweeping through the whole country.

He re-assured the people that APC government will bring massive socio-economic development to Delta State through proper collaboration with the twenty five (25) local governments in the state, stressing that the state can no longer languish in perpetual suffering that the ruling party has subjected them to.

Earlier, at the palace of the Obi of Issele-Uku, Emerhor assured traditional rulers in the state that they will form part of his government noting that royal fathers will play significant roles in his government, if elected. He expressed his heart felt condolence to the royal family whose father passed away last year and also to inform them about his political ambition.
