The cleric stressed that thirty years after marriage, especially without an issue, was a long journey, noting that his wife fell sick after seven months into their marriage resulting in them seeking both spiritual and medical help without any result from native doctors including notable hospitals and clinics as an unbeliever until he gave his life to God in 1991.

He said “After thirty years, this miracle is not common. God has been preparing a package for us. God had been preparing a child for us. I have never witnessed this kind of thing in my life before. It was like a carnival. The people had waited for so long and when they saw it, it was a carnival the day my wife delivered.”

Eferaha described the delivery and dedication of his child as ” Victory for Jesus Christ”  noting that he rejected adoption as an option even when some pastors persuaded him to do so.

“Everything about me is Jesus. He will determine if i will have children or not. I surrounded my family with the word of God and knowing for sure that God never fails, we decided to wait for the appointed time,” he added.

Eferaha disclosed that his wife named their first child, Samuel because of the vow to return him back to God if finally she delivers, adding that he also named the son, Ewomazino ( Good things have come) as a result of an encounter with a man of God twenty years ago.

Eferaha enjoined everyone facing similar challenges to always wait on God because he cannot lie, stressing that, ” though it is very painful but it is very important. There is hope and God can do anything when he decides to do it. The victory is victory for Jesus Christ. Anywhere we go, we can use it to preach the gospel. He has done it.”

Eferaha who personally dedicated his child on the altar said, ” God said i should do the dedication myself. Samuel Ewomazino everything about your life all shall be fulfilled. His glory shall not depart from you. In wisdom you will grow. Knowledge and understanding shall fill your life. You will excell in your life. Greatness is your portion. No man shall limit you. Limitation shall be far from you.”

Wife of the cleric, Mrs. Florence Eferaha who was visibly happy as she danced with her son, thanked God for making her a woman and mother after thirty years as she sang sonoriously glorifying God.

Mrs. Eferaha said, “There is nothing God cannot do. It is like a dream to me because the journey is so far. What i experienced during prenancy was a battle. So many people mocked me but I know where I am going to. God is faithful.”

Florence who christined her hubby as her ” brother”, “real husband” and “friend” appreciated him for enduring and standing behind her in spite of the battles she went through.

In a sermon titled ” Remember me Oh Lord” Pastor Akpojesu Isaac enjoined the congregation to do good if they want God’s miracle to visit their homes, adding that testimonies from friends and well wishers of Pastor Eferaha and his wife are evident enough that they were doing good in spite of their childless situation.
