Bayelsa Group Drums Support for Jonathan, Dickson

A socio-political organization under the auspices of Bayelsa youth Leaders forum for Governor Henry Seriake Dickson has drummed support for President Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa state, saying the duo have performed excellently well in the area of development.
This was revealed in a recent world press briefing that took place at MEGLAMS international conference hall, Yenagoa.
The chairman of the group, Hon Oboku Oforji, while addressing the world press briefing commended the executive Governor of Bayelsa state, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson on his execution of numerous People Oriented projects in the state.
The chairman said they have been monitoring the activities of the governor’s Projects and as progressive minded forum, they cannot just watch other people run him down, adding that that was why the forum took the bull by the horn to inform and educate the general public about the activities of the Governor
Hon Oforji said the leadership of the group were well tested personalities that have great socio—political commands in the various local governments, wards and communities in the state.
“This forum is a grass root leadership forum. It has local Government coordinators, wards coordinators as well as unified executives in the state who are ready to give the Governor maximum support. This group was formed on 14 February 2014 in supporting good governance,” he said.
The group pledged their unalloyed support for Mr. President, saying that they were ready to mobilize Nigerians to support the president.
Some of the achievements of Governor Dickson outlined by the group are; Building of the first flyover in Bayelsa state- 98% completed, Airport project- ongoing, Completion of Ogobiri-Toru-Ebeni brigde, Construction of three Senatorial roads-ongoing, The best NYSC Camp in the country-95% completed, Dualization of Azikoro road- Completed, Opolo-Elebele road AIT- sani Abacha, AIT-Igbogene, Eradiri road, also completion of sports academy in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, Over one thousand graduates and post-graduates scholarships, other projects enumerated by the group includes Commencement of work at tower hotel, AOG hotel, Building of castle hotel 1&2 at government House, World polo Club, Golf course, building of two bridges across the Epie Creek, Constructon of Boro Town in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area among others that are too numerous to mention.
Speaking, Hon Alex I Oruebimiekumo, an astute politician in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area and former councilor while fielding questions from newsmen, thanked the Leadership of the group for their great support for the Governor and the President of the federal Republic of Nigeria, tasking Bayelsian and Nigerians to vote people of credible characters.
While appreciating the political stakeholders of the restoration government in supporting Governor Dickson and the President Jonathan the vice chairman of the group, Hon Daniel Charles, said the group would soon embark on massive campaign in all the local Governments and the wards across the state.
