BAPTIST PASTORS FELICITATES WITH CAN PRESIDENT ON HIS RE-ELECTION

Pastors Representative Council of the Nigerian Baptist Convention has felicitated with Rev. Samson Olasupo A. Ayokunle (Ph. D)on his re-election as President, Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN) just as they also pass a vote of confidence on him for what they described as outstanding performances.

This is contained in a press statement signed by Revd. Gwana R. Dogara and Revd. Dr. John Ottuh, National chairman and National secretary respectively, The Pastors’ Conference, Nigerian Baptist Convention made available to journalists, the Pastors enjoined Revd. Ayokunle to remain steadfast in speaking and standing on the path of truth with a view to help government know the standpoint of Christians in the country.

According to the statement, “on behalf of the chairman, Revd. Gwana Raphael Dogara, the Pastors Representative Council of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, we and the entire pastors of the Nigerian Baptist Convention felicitate with Revd. Samson Olasupo Ayokunle (Ph. D) amiable president of the Nigerian Baptist Convention on his re-election as President, Christian Association of Nigeria. It is a well deserved one. We celebrate you sir for the great work you have been doing since your first term in office.”

While praying God to strengthen Revd. Ayokunle for the task ahead in his second term, the Pastors Representative Council of the Nigerian Baptist Convention commended him for the transparent way and manner he handled the Association’s resources.

They added, “we salute your courage in standing out to speak for Christians in Nigeria. We also want to thank God for your life for the good management of the Association’s resources. We pass a vote of confidence on you for your outstanding performances. Sir, we wish to also encourage you to continue with the good work in this second term. Please continue to speak the truth to government as you have always done. We pray God almighty to strenghten you for the task ahead’.

They called on all stakeholders to join hands with Revd. Ayokunle to by giving the much needed cooperation and support with a view to move the Association to greater heights that would no doubt rub off positively on all Christians in Nigeria..
