Nigerian have been called upon to prevail on Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Deputy Senate President to resign for their common good just as the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has been accused of plotting to throw spanners in the wheels of change planned for the people with emergence of Senator Ekweremadu as Deputy Senate President in the upper chambers of the National Assembly.

Engr. Victor T. Ewere

This call was made by Engr. Victor T. Ewere retired NNPC worker and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, he accused Senator Ekweremadu of being a saboteur working for the opposition PDP to thwart the planned efforts of the APC to fully implement change they promised the people.

According to Engr. Ewere, “I can tell you without doubts that Senator Ekweremadu and the PDP are there to throw spanners in the wheels of progress our great party, the APC plans to implement for our great country. This is a time bomb and it is not good for the country. It is an avenue to sabotage the change APC has for Nigerian and Nigeria.

Senator Ekweremadu is a change saboteur from the PDP. He should be thrown out before their planned evils are hatched.”

Engr. Ewere added, “Iam using this opportunity to call on all patriotic Nigerians to rise up to this national duty and challenge to.mount pressures on Senator Ekweremadu whose ambition for power to the extreme detriment of our dear nation to resign before this planned damage is visited on our common heritage.”

Speaking on the state of affairs of the nation, Engr. Ewere has this to say, “what have played out in the House of Representatives is good development for the advancement and growth of democracy. To me, it paints a picture of people with independent minds to contribute towards issues that would at the end move our great nation to greater heights. Before now, the PDP always agree among themselves to propagate bad governance, impunity and corruption and at the end of the day allegedly emptied the nations’ treasury.”

Engr. Ewere commended President Buhari over his intention to probe Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s administration noting that suggestion to extend the probe beyond the immediate past administration is bogus, adding, ‘extending the probe beyond the four years of the Dr. Jonathan’s administration would cause some distractions for the APC-led administration, it would leave the APC no time to concentrate on delivering the change it promised Nigerians.”

He spoke further, “this exercise promised better days ahead for the people, it would lead us back to when intellectual competition and competency were the nation’s core values where due processes were strictly adhered to and followed for the overall good of our great country. This is what the APC stands for and should be supported by all patriotic Nigerians.”
