Honourable Solomon Ahwinahwi of the House of Representatives has paid glowing tribute to the late Army General, David Akpodiete Ejoor, who was committed to his final resting place, Friday, in his hometown, Ovwor Olomu, Ughelli South LGA of Delta State.

Chief Ahwinahwi, who could not fully conceal his grief even amidst laughter, described the demise of the famous Urhobo patriarch and nationalist, Gen David Ejoor, as a great loss to the country and Urhobo Nation, in particular.

The Federal lawmaker, who spoke shortly after the interment of the late General, noted that Ejoor was a father to him and a strong unifying factor of the Urhobos.

He noted that whenever he called Gen Ejoor to seek his counsel on issues, he always obliged him ample listening time, even during odd hours, noting that he will surely miss him for his fatherly counsel.

Hon Ahwinahwi said that though the vacuum left behind by the late patriot and former Military Governor of the defunct Midwest Region will be difficult to fill, he is taking solace in the fact that the great General lived a fulfilled and successful life.

He prayed God to grant the soul of Gen David Akpodiete Ejoor eternal rest.
